To look straight ahead is, of course, the wisest and safest course of action in London. But when we do this day in, day out, London starts to look like every other city – like cars and shops.
We try, whenever we can on a London Walk, to stop and look up. That’s where many of London’s gems are hidden, up above our heads as we careen through the city going about our daily business.
That’s not to say that we can’t enjoy the feast at eye level between bouts of conscientious detail-spotting.
