Oriflame Beauty Studio Artist Cream Blush in Pink Glow and Soft Peach - Review, Swatches, FOTD

By Get Set Blush @GetSet_Blush

Okay, I started falling for blushes! I fell in love with them so much that I started wearing them even to my office. Yes, I prefer the mild peachy and earthy ones as of now. I wear them so light that they just give some fresh nice glow and at the same time not thaaat visible. Here in Hyderabad, at least for work girls/women hardly wear makeup precisely the locals. The Telugu girls shy away from loud makeup and all they usually wear is some lipstick and kohl (I am not talking about everybody but I have not seen many wearing lipstick even.) Once I started wearing the blush, I slowly started liking them. I never knew how to even wear a blush before. Here is the proof There I wore my first blush. I must say that I loved it. May be because the powder blush is easier to apply and you don't really need a technique for that. But, when it comes to the liquid blushes or the cream blushes you should know how to use it and how to blend the blush properly. I consider myself naive in this. Right then,Oriflame introduced their new range of cream blushes which are not less than gorgeous. Read on, if they really worth the buy.

I have two of them with me.Pink Glow and Soft Peach.
Pink Glow:
It is a nice pink blush which is too pigmented. More of it turns your cheek red/dark. You have to use it carefully. But it is a gorgeous color and it suits everybody. I feel it looks great on medium to dusky skin tone. It gives a nice pink glow to the face if used gently.
Soft Peach:
It is my fav. It is a subtle peach which looks great on my wheatish skintone. It has very tiny shimmer which adds to the glow. I love the fact that it is not too pigmented as Pink Glow making it more wearable and easy on cheeks. It can be worn even during the day time and shimmer is subtle enough to make your cheeks glow and scream for attention.

Package: Please excuse the mess near the opening. The blush comes in a tube with a twist black cap. I seriously think that it is the best idea. Because you don't have to dip in your fingers every time you use it. Apart from it, since these are of creamy consistency the flow can be controlled. These can be carried anywhere without the problem of leakage.

My Experience with the product:
First of all, I am new to cream blushes. I meant the usage and not the concept. I have always heard about the NYX cream blushes and other HD blushes. The main reason why the concept of cream blushes came into existence is that, they photograph well. Even for HD pictures and tonnes of lighting. The application is even and the color payoff is way too better than the powder blushes. The staying power is usually more than the powder blushes and they give the extra glow and dewy effect. So,keeping all these factors in mind, I have applied the blush. Okay, precisely the Soft Peach. I have used it on my cheek after the usual foundation routine. I have used my ring finger to apply in dots on my cheek and then blend it with the same finger with very little pressure. I didn't want my skin to totally absorb it but I wanted it to sink in with the foundation. As I finished blending, I must say that it looked gorgeous and went well with my skin tone. I wore it work and it stayed on till the evening only then it faded a bit coz its summer and coz of the production of sweat. I loved it.When used at night, the subtle shimmer gives a beautiful glow to the face without making it look OTT.
The tragedy:
Seeing my blending skills, I was so confident about Pink Glow too. So, I started off by taking a pea size quantity but due to my carelessness a bit more than required came out. I thought it wouldn't be that pigmented (it looked pastel in the tube)and I dotted the whole thing and started blending. Trust me, I could cover up my whole face with the blush but I had to force myself to use it only on my cheek but it took a worse turn that I made my cheek looked weird. So weird that it looked red and it looked more like I suffer with some skin disorder lol.
Anyway the next time, I took very little quantity of Pink Glow and started using it. It is no doubt pigmented. A little goes a long way. I prefer wearing it for occasions/party during the evening/night time.
Swatches: As soon you take the product out of the tube..
