The Disney film is based on the Madeleine L’Engle’s classic novel, which according to a new press release, “takes the audience across dimensions of time and space, examining the nature of darkness versus light and, ultimately, the triumph of love.”
Led by three celestial guides, played by Witherspoon, Winfrey, and Kaling, we’re taken on a journey with Meg Murry (played by Storm Reid), whose astrophysicist father is imprisoned on a distant planet. Working with her brother, a classmate, and the three guides, Meg has to find a way to save her father.
