President Barack Obama called out some hecklers who tried to interrupt a speech he was giving at Ohio State University on energy on Thursday – earning himself a round of applause from the audience and a video that’s heading for viral.

According to Politico, the US politics blog that flagged up the interchange, Obama told the heckler, “Sir, I’m here to speak to these folks… You can hold your own rally. You’re being rude. … I’m trying to talk to these people.”

However, the heckler may have actually won in the end: Obama did instruct aides to collect the book that the heckler was demanding that the President read. There are, the White House website points out, other ways to engage with the Commander-in-Chief.
