POSSESSION SUCCESS-RATES
I've included the possession number from the Montreal Canadiens for comparison, as I have already accrued 2 seasons worth of data on the Habs.
Edmonton was less successful maintaining possession in the offensive, and neutral-zones against Vancouver than Montreal's average last season. That said, Edmonton's ability to move the puck out of the defensive-zone was phenomenal; as evidenced by their 80.7 % success-rate when maintaining puck-possession in the offensive-zone.

The Oilers were more successful defensively against Vancouver than Montreal averaged against the entire league last season. They were particularly successful in the neutral and defensive-zones, which helped keep odd-man rushes against to a minimum.
