The 2015 lineup for North Bay's Summer in the Park was announced this week and it's fully loaded with plenty of Kickin it Country and Killer Classic Rock! The annual event which rose out of the ashes of the North Bay Heritage Festival will feature one of the strongest lineups they've staged in years.

Friday July 31 will be a night of Kickin It Country with headliner Johnny Reid and warm up acts Autumn Hill and Michelle Wright. Killer Classic Rock takes the stage on Saturday, August 1 with Alan Frew of Glass Tiger warming up the crowd for headliner Burton Cummings and Band.

"Summer in the Park 2015 is two nights of fabulous all Canadian talent." said Dee Adrian. "The community said give us country music and classic rock and we're delivering."

Wristbands are currently available on-line at the Capitol Centre website and are available for purchase in person at the Capitol Centre Box Office, City Hall, Canadian Tire, the Chamber of Commerce office, Parker's Your Independent Grocer and all three locations of the TD Bank.

"Summer in the Park has always been a community event." said Strang. "This year will be no different with lots of free things for families and once again wrist bands are only needed for concerts."

Summer in the park is welcoming back World's Finest Shows, numerous food vendors and all sorts of activities for folks of all ages. "Every year we try to find a balance of things for people of all ages to enjoy." said Strang.

"We are very fortunate to have Cogeco as our main festival sponsor again for 2015," said Strang, "and we are grateful for all the businesses who have come forward to join us as sponsors this year.

Strang sold wrist bands to every member of council. "What better time to get your wrist bands." Strang told them. "Currently they are only $25 + HST until May 31st, $35 + HST from June 1 to June 30, and from July 1 through the Festival weekend wrist bands will be $50 each."

Country Music, Classic Rock, and lots of free activities for every member of the family means Summer in the Park 2015 is not to be missed.
