7.4 Nina, 139, rue du Chateau in the 14th, 09.83.01.88.40, closed Sundays, was recommended to me by a cherished source and a blogger friend reconfirmed that Télérama also raved about it.  It has only about 30 covers so best reserve and show up early.  Its plan is simple - 2 "mosiac's" (that is, reasonably sized portions) for 17 E, 3 for 20 E at lunch and about 35 E for dinner.

My dining partner had the tartare of duck with whole Italian capers and big radishes - which she couldn't stop talking about and I raved equally about my feta tempura (who ever heard of such a thing) with small radishes and strawberries - strawberries?  Fantastic.

Then we both had huge portions of meat with lots of veggies - she had crisp on the outside, rose on the inside beef pieces with peas she kept raving about and I had the veal with a divine puree of squash - both with interesting leaves of different greens (the chef, while trained at Ledeuil's, has also spent time in Peru).

We shared the desserts - hers was a lemon cake with confited raspberries and cucumber (yes) and mine quetschs two ways (dried and fresh) with chocolate and coffee.
