Nightwear News: Lazy Living ... Loungwear

By Tamarstylist @tamarstylist

I have to say I have been incredibly lazy lately. School was cancelled for the last few days of term, the snow came down, and having been mega organised with my online shopping, I really wasn’t concerned about whether I could get out of my house or not! My children, at the risk of sounding very sexist are boys, and they have happily taken to their beds hibernation style. Therefore I see very little point getting up and dressed, with a full face of make up just to sit on my couch and write to you guys.   Forgive me, but as I cannot get to the office and you cannot see me - I feel quite comfortable with my hair bed tousled and my clothing casual.

Now I say my clothing is casual, but it is also designer loungewear, and regular readers will know that I love my loungewear and nightwear and am certainly not alone as the trend is growing rapidly. I haven’t yet done so but I would be quite comfortable wearing my loungewear to the office. I will stick to the confines of my own home for now, but I think it could work.

Loungewear is basically defined as anything comfortable for relaxing around your house in, but that meets the standards of taste and decency should an unexpected guest pop over. My standard loungewear comprises separates or sets of full length trousers and vest tops, with a waist length dressing gown or cardigan for a bit of warmth. I love the fact that there are no uncomfortable waistbands, nothing to pinch or squash, and should I get really chilled late at night, I can simply shuffle from sofa to bed and not worry about changing to my pyjamas or another one of my favorite nightwear pieces.

Loungewear is a kind of hybrid pyjama, that looks more like day wear but still oozes comfort. Lazy is just a habit millions of us happen to enjoy and I don’t see why we should feel guilty for doing so. Combining the two - is well frankly - heaven! If you haven’t already done so why not try an evening or two on the loungewear band wagon, we bet you will be converted for life! Hop over to the site where we have helpfully categorised some of the best loungewear we have found making it simple for you to pick something that suits.
