Niecy Nash To Play Abductor In The Kamiyah Mobley Story

Niecy Nash has been cast as the abductor in the upcoming Lifetime story about the kidnapping of Kamiyah Mobley.

According to Deadline, production is already underway on the movie, executive produced by award-winning journalist Robin Roberts, and is scheduled to premiere next year.

“Kidnapped The Kamiyah Mobley Story,” is the true story of a now young lady who was abducted from a Florida hospital on July 10, 1998 by Gloria Williams when she was only eight hours old. She was raised in South Carolina by Williams under the name Alexis Manigo. When she turned 18 she found out that the woman who raised her was not her mother when she tried to get a social security card.

The film will be followed by a companion documentary featuring the real-life people depicted in the movie.

You may recall, Kamiyah and her father appeared on a heartbreaking episode of Iyanla Fix My Life.

Niecy Nash will star alongside Rayven Symone Ferrell  and Ta’Rhonda Jones in the Lifetime movie.
