I’ve recently added a new photo –  Fusion & Zodiac Gerbera Daisies – to my website.

Gerbera Daisies – what can I say – I love them with their big bold shapes and bright colors. For the longest time I was really challenged photographing gerbera daisies since they can be difficult to grow and keep looking good in gardens in the mid-Atlantic region. I took so many photos of gerbera daisies that I wasn’t happy with. Now that I’ve started photographing flowers in my studio, I’m able to create photos of gerbera daisies that I love.

I bought two sets of wonderful gerbera daisies – Fusion (bright orange) and Zodiac (bright yellow) at a local flower wholesaler – and then found a single orange and yellow gerbera daisy at my local market. I photographed them all separately  and then tried arranging them into a group. I clearly still have some work to do on arranging flowers so they photograph well – but I was pleased with this photo of the arrangement of the flowers. I hope you are enjoying seeing my new series of flowers photographed in the studio – I am certainly enjoying being able to share flowers and details of flowers that I wasn’t able to share with you before.

This photograph is available as a matted print. You can order Fusion & Gerbera Daisies from my website.
