POWER star, Naturi Naughton took part in the My Black is Beautiful #BlackGirlsDo campaign during Essence Fest weekend.
Naturi hit the Beauty and Style stage with XO Necole founder, Necole Kane, and TV host Kela Walker.
“It means loving the skin you’re in,” Naturi shared with PEOPLE. “My Black Is Beautiful means being a beautiful black woman who is unapologetic about how strong she is and how multidimensional you are.”
Naturi continued,
“I think women sometimes try to put women in boxes…but I have so many complexities and layers, why should I not shine in all of those areas?
Naughton’s POWER co-stars, Rotimi and Joseph Sikora were also at Essence to share with fans what they can expect from season 5 of the hit show.
