Hey, welcome back to part two of our travel tales at the eco-friendly O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat (read Part ONE here if you've missed it)!

Just as I thought it couldn't get much more blissful than my pampering session in an outdoor jacuzzi and the spiritual evening at the pristine glow worm grotto, a few other delightful experiences were in store for me and my Mr on day two of our short getaway.

We enjoyed a little sleep in on the fluffy bed in our rainforest villa. Seriously, who wouldn't want to when the only sound that wakes you up is the chirping of the birds (probably returning for more almonds)?

We reluctantly checked out from our villa while swearing that we'd be returning soon. Upon arriving at the Lost World Spa which is located 3 minutes from our villa at the bottom of the hill surrounded by nature, we knew we were going to start our morning right.

We were greeted by the lovely Camille at the reception who toured us through the spa and explained how our treatment takes place. I'd recommend arriving at the spa at least 30 to 60 minutes before your booking time to sip a cup of Byron Bay Body tea, sweat it all out in the steam room, and calm your mind in the lounge while taking in the glorious views overlooking the infinity pool (all complimentary for spa guests).

Our couples suite where our treatment took place was definitely the highlight of our getaway. From the beautiful hand-crafted wooden bath tub to the private couples shower area and 180-degree view over the valley to the distant Great Dividing Range, the impeccable details of this spa experience guarantee lovebirds will have some quality time to connect.

As our Sodasha Signature Massage commenced with us lying on the comfy electric blanket heated bed and calming music in the background, oh my gosh - we instantly melted like butter on toast! Our Sodashi Massage ($165 for 1 hr 15 minutes) started with a soothing foot soak with a nourishing scrub before surrendering ourselves to the magical strokes of our therapists. The deep relaxing massage aims to encourage lymphatic circulation and balance the energy meridians in our bodies.

At the end of the treatment, I felt a flow of fresh air within my body that was pumping energy all over. It is hands down one the most rejuvenating spa experience I've ever had! The tranquility in the lush green setting was sensational. It'd be the best to avoid any adrenaline-pumping activities or heavy workout post treatment and take it slowly like a sloth for the rest of the day.

♥ Mountview Alpaca Farm

After a quick stop at the Mountain Cafe for our post-spa bites, we couldn't leave Lamington National Park without stopping at the Mountview Alpaca Farm which is located on the way from O'Reilly's to Canungra ( I've blogged about my previous visit here).

This place is home to 'Roy' the celebrity alpaca who recently starred in a TV ad that was filmed right here at the farm. The owner at Mountview Farm has even declared Roy as one of the most photographed alpacas in the world!

While I couldn't actually tell which one of them was Roy, they were all being superstars as we captured them on our camera - one thing for sure is that none of them lacks modeling skills!

I was told the farm hosts on average 24 alpacas. I attempted to count but failed as they were all extremely energetic and kept running to where the feeding action was. Entry to the farm is free while a pack of alpaca food costs $3. Be prepared for their pet dog will come in for its share of the tasty alpaca meals!

The deck at the back of their gift shop and cafe offers a grand vista of the lush rolling hills where their alpacas graze - perfect spot for road-trippers to stretch their legs on the way up to O'Reilly's.

♥ Scenic Drive through Canungra

As we made our way through the winding country roads in Canungra back to Brisbane, we encountered a few other friendly locals including Ben the cow and Trevor the wallaby. They were so curious that they jumped front in front of our car waiting for their Instagram pictures to be taken so take caution on the way - #ThisIsAustralia.

So tell me dear fellow eco-traveller, have I inspired you to explore O'Reilly's and Lamington National Park? Where are your most loved destinations to get lost in nature while reconnecting with your other half? What are some best tips you have to make our travel greener with less environmental impact? I'd love to start our conversations so do share your thoughts in the comments below!

Till next time. Stay adventurous.
