True, there’s only five songs, but WOW, those five songs are INCREDIBLE! What am I talking about? The new Planetshakers’ EP, Momentum: Live in Manila. When I listened to this EP, part of me felt like I was at a Christian dance party, and part of me felt like I was at a full blown high energy worship service! It was ah-mazing! I had the stereo in the car cranked as if I was there and it was beautiful.
Capturing the mission, heart, and worldwide movement of Planetshakers Church, one of Australia’s fastest growing churches in history, Planetshakers Band releases its Momentum: Live in Manila EP globally through Integrity Music March 25. The EP encapsulates the excitement and passion of 30,000 worshippers across two sold-out Planetshakers events held on back-to-back evenings in Manila’s Araneta Coliseum last August.
This EP has five songs –
1) Momentum;
2) Nothing Is Impossible;
3) I Know Who You Are;
4) Face to Face; and
5) Come Right Now.
Momentum: Live in Manila encapsulates the excitement and passion of 30,000 worshippers across two sold-out Planetshakers events held on back-to-back evenings in Manila’s Araneta Coliseum last August. Commemorating the event, the recording’s cover art features an overhead snapshot of the coliseum where the new song, Momentum, as well as worship favorite, Nothing Is Impossible, were recorded live. The EP also features studio recordings of the pop-dance track Come Right Now and the worshipful ballads Face To Face and I Know Who You Are.
I have to say I have always, always, always loved Nothing Is Impossible. If anyone is letting me pick songs for the praise team at church, I will try my best to sneak that one in there every single time! Now, though, that I’ve listened to this EP, I have to say that I’ll probably be trying to sneak a few more Planetshaker songs into the playlist if they ask me! I loved Face to Face and I can’t remember ever hearing that song before!
