Movies and Our Fear of Bugs.

By Probestpest @ProBestPest

“Pesticides highlighted at annual Insect Fear Film Festival” Growing up as a kid in Ohio, I had the chance to enjoy the wealth and abundance of insects everywhere. We lived in a rural area bordered by soybean or corn fields and there was always plenty of opportunities to investigate bugs and wildlife. Remember my story of the Praying Mantis

My stories go on from there like the time I decided to pick up a field mouse, he/she was not to happy with me and of course bit me and I had to find it and take it in for testing. I also had the chance to attend a few years of Boy Scout camps and loved hanging out in the nature buildings. I also had the chance to get involved with the Ohio Game Warden program, I loved hunting and never got into trapping but I was always fascinated with all outdoor stuff.

So our stories lead us into our fears, mine has always been spiders but others have fears of other things like snakes or being attacked by wildlife etc. So instead of staying indoors and worrying about those things, take a chance and get into nature. Look down and check out the little things or come and visit Arizona. See the cactus and the wonderful homes they make for a lot of animals – birds, lizards, tarantulas and the rest.
