Monday Mood- Five Fashion Rules to Dressing Like a French Girl

By Saumya Shiohare @myriadmusings1
Believe it or not: french girls are the best-dressed damsels in the world of fashion. Menswear-inpired chic pant suits, long duster coats, elegant hats, printed neck scarf, all are a gift to us from the french nation. While their fashion and sartorial aspirations are a mystery, good news : it is entirely obtainable !!! I am decoding a few fashion rules you all can adopt today to nail that " Parisian Chic " look !!!!
1) Menswear-Inspired: no one does menswear-inspired better than the Parisians. A well fitted pant suit or even an oxford jumpsuit, they will always have us in awe with their looks. Clean lines, slim fit,   slender legs, there is something that is always beholding. So next time you are in the market for something more french, allow your sartorial boundaries to broaden and look for a structured pant suit.  Zara does amazing and affordable pant-suits and oxford jumpsuits, which you could shop here.

2) Neckpiece- if you've ever taken heed into the anatomy of a french-girl outfit, you would have surely noticed the neckpiece. A french-girl will always have her neck accessory game strong. Either a neck scarf or a statement blouse with some feminine neck detail, there will be one striking neck element.

3) Tamed tresses - a french girl and her tamed tress are like two peas in a pod. Where is there is a french girl, well kept and orderly hair has to be there. But if it is a bad hair day, a hat will surely be in attendance.

4) Comfy pair of heels - everyone likes to wear statement-making heels, but a french girl will always  chooses comfort over cool. It's not that they will opt for just any shoes that are comfortable, they will make sure that shoes and comfy and a statement too. Insoles and shoe inserts are an easy, affordable way to make a pair of uncomfy shoes relatively comfortable.

5) Over-the-top handbags - One remarkable aspect of a french-girl's outfit is her bag. They know how to scout for the best of dramatic bags. Not only that, they also know how to give character to any bag. For instance, it was the french fashion scene from where the trend of carrying large totes folded as clutch and tucked under your arms originated and this spread like wild fire. Every girl on pinterest was spotted with tucked-under-the-arms bag and I am no inclusion.
