By Momatlast @momatlast

ALISO VIEJO, CA — Today, Moms in Charge, an organization of moms who strive to raise healthier kids, announced that its first annual A Day for M.E. (mom empowerment) event, featuring keynote speaker Joe Cross, is taking place on Saturday, August 25 at the Hilton Costa Mesa, in Costa Mesa, California.

A Day for M.E. is a place where women from all over Southern California will come together for a day of personal enrichment and education. The full-day event will also include an evening session where dads can join in and hear from one of the most respected health coaches in the world, author and creator of the documentary Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead, Joe Cross.

“As wives, mothers and professionals living in Southern California, women are constantly barraged with priority lists that sometimes put their needs at the bottom,” said Dotty Hagmier, RN and founder of Moms in Charge. “A Day for M.E. has been tailored to give women a ‘day off’ while also providing them with vital information to help them continue to seek health and wellness not just for themselves, but for their families.”

Attendees will learn new and easy ways to prepare food during demonstrations from local raw, vegan and organic chefs, as well as enjoy discussions and guidance for a healthy lifestyle. A Day for M.E. will focus on women’s health with workshops addressing wellness from head-to-toe. Also available to attendees will be partner booths, demos and information on a variety of products including the benefits of super foods, essential oils, and the importance grounding (Earthing) has on Electro Magnetic Fields (EMFs).
