Yea, Reverend Steve Newlin will be back on True Blood. Michael McMillian who spectacularly played the vampire hating Reverend has been a fan favorite and we welcome his return.
Michael was interviewed this week on the “God Hates Fangs” podcast which is hosted by AphroditeMF and her husband. During the interview, Michael talked about Steve Newlin’s return to season 5, and, he of course, wasn’t permitted to leak too much about what’s to come, but he did speak about getting fitted for his fangs.
Michael said of Season 5: “It’s gonna be really, really good. The whole season so far has been great. It’s very vampire centered.
I think season five is gonna start paying off the promises of the first four seasons. It’s like, OK, now you know the way the world works, we’ve introduced these separate plot lines, these separate characters, and it’s really starting to come together this season in a big, big way.”
He also spoke about the future of the True Blood comic series. The Vault did an exclusive interview with Michael last year when his True Blood Comic was published, so we’re very familiar with his participation in the series. He told the interviewers that the comics are now scheduled to be released monthly and he will be returning as one of the writers.
Also, Michael stated during the interview that he is a good friend to Deborah Ann Woll and EJ Scott, and is supporting their efforts to raise funds for the CRF by donating some of his comic books.
