The Woman who is MIA happens to be my friend, my teacher, my soulmate, my guide, my partner-in-crime and everything. Words always fall short when it comes to describing her but she never fails to inspire me. She is no one other then my Mother. Born and brought up in Calcutta, she chose to quit her work and instead INVEST herself in bringing up her children to make sure they become not only well-educated but good human beings. My Mother, the Perfectionist that she is, she loves to keep her house spotless, prepare mouth-watering dishes like no one else can, teach her kids. She LOVES what she Does. She is the one who taught us to be a better person, to never a judge a person from his/her education, profession and their appearances.  If one day God grants me a wish, I would ask to be the same mother to my kids as her.  Sometimes, I wonder if I can be half as good as her. The Perfect homemaker and the best Mother.
But wait, I am not finished yet.
Year 2009 was the turning point in her life, err..I mean Our Lives. Destiny had something very unpleasant in store for us. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer which meant disfiguring surgery, extensive chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Instead of going into “how-can-cancer-happen-to-me”, she started ensuring that everything was in order, cooking and storing tonnes of food in the freezer, because she knows we don’t like anyone else’s cooking and so on, so that we, the ‘shell-shocked’ (my Dad, me and my brother) did not face any inconvenience during her treatment, when her movement may be restricted due to surgery and other treatments. Like they Say, ‘A woman is like a tea bag; you never know how strong it is until it's in hot water."  That’s my mother. Beautiful, Gorgeous and so Courageous.

My Parents at the time of their wedding.

The surgery, chemotherapy and the radiation never baffled her and thankfully the hard times are over. (Touchwood). Writing this itself overwhelmed me. But all’s well that ends well. By God’s grace, she fought every bit of it and is fine now.
That’s how women are. They love everything they do and they do it perfectly. For me she is still the Perfect homemaker and the bestest Mother.
