Ah well, today's featured Maybelline Color Show Nail Paint brings out the pirate instincts in me. I didn't really search for this treasure and of course it came at a price but Arrr!! it is worth every ounce of gold and silver and rupee!! ;)

Shade: Buried Treasure is clearly a taupe-golden shade that looks beautiful in the bottle!! You can see how the taupe is loaded with golden flecks (not those gritty glitter particles!!) and the golden veins (which are made up of the golden flecks) running in-between! It absolutely looks gorgeous!!
Texture: Perfect consistency; neither too thick nor runny.
Finish: Opaque and glossy
Coverage: One coat gives a semi-opaque coverage. In the picture below I've applied two coats for 100% opacity.
Application: Despite the golden flecks this one is easy to apply! It goes on easily and since it isn't too runny nor thick, there is a control over application. Drying time: There really wasn't much of a time gap between the application of the first and second coat. By the time I finished applying the polish on the fifth finger, the first finger was all set for a second coat!Staying power: It stayed on for 4 days without a top coat. I was wearing this on my feet too and it lasted for more than a week and a half!!Suitable for: Any occasion! I would wear it anywhere and everywhere!!

- Requires 2-3 coats for opaque coverage; That really isn't something I dislike but when I'm pressed for time, I generally prefer a polish that goes on opaque in a coat.
