James Graham Brown 51, is being charged with embezzlement while he served as the treasurer for the Long Beach Football League from 2006 to 2011. He is believed to have embezzled 24,000 dollars over these five years. The Long Beach Football league is for 5 to 12 year olds.
On the leagues website its mission statement is "to instill the fundamental values of self-discipline, teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, and mutual respect to the youth of our community."
This story makes me sick how messed up people are. Graham only cared about himself in this whole endeavor. He must not care that youth sports are one of the most important things to any child at these ages. Stealing is bad enough but, one you steal from children you are truly a bad person.
