#London Walkers Review London Walks: “Fabulous Tours, Can't Wait To Do More”

Mary, Fiona, Maxine & Noel in the London Walks office write… On Mondays & Fridays we'll be sharing reviews of our London Walks written by London Walkers. Firstly, THANKS to all who have written to us down through the years, your kind words are greatly appreciated! Our guides don't solicit these reviews on our tours – we believe that this would be a waste of your time. That's what makes these reviews all the more special – they have been sent to us by genuine London Walkers who have given up their valuable time to drop us a line or two, or leave a comment on travel message boards & websites. Thanks everyone.

Mary writes…

Thanks to Roombiter from Shrewsbury for this absolutely lovely five star review on TripAdvisor. Looking forward to welcoming you back to London next year!

My wife and I planned a trip to London specifically to do some walking tours and we did two of them with London Walks, Crime and Punishment and Ghosts of the West End.
The guides really do make the difference, Crime and Punishment was fantastic (gruesome of course) but our guide delivered with such passion and knowledge that I felt inspired to read more about the second death of Oliver Cromwell, the Smithfield gory endings, the Temple Bar rotting heads etc, fantastic.
The ghost walk was also fabulous in its own way, a bit harder to deal with the subject matter as they don't always appear on cue of course but it was such fun hearing about them as we explored the gas lit streets on a dark November evening.
I can't wait to come back and work my way through the itinerary that London Walks have, fabulous way to spend £10 over two hours in the big city. You could do three walks in a day and have an absolute blast which is what I will do next year, I loved it!
PS.....dont worry if it gets near the start time and no sign of the guide, providing you are in the right place on time as per the brochure or website they will eventually appear. A veteran of many walks told me that they often arrive at the last minute and that happened on both the walks I went on.
A London Walk costs £10 – £8 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com.
