Every year on The Daily Constitutional, as the high season for visitors to London hots up, I spend August sharing a few archive posts. This year I'm reposting recommendations from our If You Do One Other Thing In London slot (a regular feature of our Saturday London Spy posts) and updated posts from the Best Museums In London series, in which the London Walks guides shared their best London museum tips.
If theres' a London Walks tour starting or ending nearby I'll add the details at the bottom of each post. I hope you find these posts helpful over the course of the summer.

The Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum

I visited Wimbledon on a cold day in deepest December. But the welcome was as warm as the summer days when Andy Murray won the Men’s Singles and Olympic gold.
Did you know that Andy Murray is the first British man to win Wimbledon since King William the Conqueror? Or something like that…
In fact, if your tennis knowledge is a scant as mine (see above statement re William the Conqueror) then this is the place for you.
The Wimbledon Museum is a paragon of modern curation. Fascinating things to read and look at, balanced with interactive aspects that will keep even the most skittish of kids hooked for ages.
My favorite bit was the virtual John McEnroe. He’s long been a hero of mine and his “presence” at the museum, wry, witty, that glorious New York irascibility bristling just beneath the surface, is a joy. His virtual incarnation takes us through a behind-the-scenes tour of the locker room from the point of view of a champion. How can I get a virtual John McEnroe for my living room?
