For better or for worse it's the hot topic in London and we London Walks guides are ALWAYS asked, "How much is the property around here?"
Property, of course, is worth whatever price people are daft enough to pay for it, but here are a couple of wilder examples from this week's property market...

A pokey one bedroom flat in central London has hit the market for more than the price of a 14-bedroom Devon mansion.
The pied-a-terre in Rochester Row, Victoria, has just 336sq/ft of space, which is around the size of a large master bedroom.
It was originally a studio flat, but a screen has been installed to create a separate bedroom.
The property, less than a mile from the House of Commons and Big Ben, has been put on the market for a staggering £449,000 - more than double the average house price in England.
Indeed it is £50,000 more than a Devon mansion that is also currently on the market.

V&A Wedding Dresses 1775-2014

Always good to get a recommendation from a London Walker, and last Thursday on the Kensington Walk, a group of women on a day trip from Ely advised us all to visit the Wedding Dresses exhibition at the V&A. Thanks ladies (and thanks also for braving the elements in Kensington!).
Our London Walkers told us that they did manage to pick up tickets on the day, but booking is advised.

This exhibition will trace the development of the fashionable white wedding dress and its treatment by key fashion designers such as Charles Frederick Worth, Norman Hartnell, Charles James, John Galliano, Christian Lacroix, Vivienne Westwood and Vera Wang offering a panorama of fashion over the last two centuries. On display will be the most romantic, glamorous and extravagant wedding dresses from the V&A's superb collection and will include some important new acquisitions as well as loans including the purple dress worn by Dita Von Teese for her marriage to Marilyn Manson and the outfits worn by Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale on their wedding day. The exhibition will highlight the histories of the dresses, revealing fascinating details about the lives of the wearers and offering an intimate insight into their circumstances and fashion choices.
