Behold! the “New Tube for London”. The Transport for London has unveiled the final design for the next-generation tube trains. Featuring double doors, air cooling, and onboard Wi-Fi, this futuristic tube train consists of a walk-through car, instead of a multi-carriage design. They are also expected to be working for more than 40 years.

“When the new trains first enter service they will have an operator on board. Along with modernised signal systems operating alongside them, the trains will enable faster, more frequent and reliable services with fewer delays, as well as providing greater capacity on all four lines”

How fast do they go? We’re not sure about that. However, Transport for London is hoping to release over 250 of these Tube trains starting with the Piccadilly, Bakerloo, Central and Waterloo & City Lines by 2022. Check out the video for a virtual tour inside the train.
