Living in Finland: Susanna Vento
Anyone in love with Finnish design knows and has got Varpunen sacks in her/his wishlist, me included ( I have at least 5 different models!). They are simple honest joyful and can be used in any room: the living room as magazine storage, in the bathroom for the guest towels, in your studio for paper, objects and son on. I love these sacks almost as much as I love the genius interior mind behind their origin: Finnish stylist Susanna Vento. The home Susanna and her husband created for their family is a reference to me since I first saw it. They used white walls and floors are as a background in the whole flat together with the repetition of the black and white elements: this approach helped them to enlarge the space visually (it's not a big apartment) and grant a sense of harmony. But, using white at such an extension can create a flat space, with nor dynamism or depth. They avoided the risk by adding bits of colours (note the blue details in the living room) and playing with graphic patterns, something Susanna Vento is a master of, in my humble opinion.

The overlapping of Palermo rug by Spanish label Gandia Blasco and Ikea Stockholm one is one of my favorite details ever.
