One of the major benefits of living on the Upper East Side of Manhattan is the proximity to Central Park. After a long week of work and a weekend shenanigans, a nice sunday stroll is just what we need. This morning, we headed west towards the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir for a 2.5k walk around the water. Mother Nature seems to be on strike lately: not warming us up even the slightest for the first week of spring, but she was kind enough to bring out the sun. We’ll take it!

The trail around the reservoir is only 2.5k- about 1.6 miles, and took us about 1/2 hour to walk. With summer just around the corner, the reservoir was packed with joggers from all walks of life.

I was obsessed with the contrast between the golden reeds and the blue water and sky. It was really breathtaking after a long, gray winter.

Not a bad life, if I do say so myself.

…and just to be extra artsy-fartsy: some black and whites courtesy of Instagram…

After pausing on a park bench for a few to rest our legs and take a breath, we headed up Madison Ave to run some errands. We came across the most beautiful flower shop, and I couldn’t help but snap a few photos.

The best part about this flower shop? Their little ginger Easter bunny! She was so adorable…

And to be extra touristy… I know all you Bravo addicts will surely appreciate this:

Another successful Sunday stroll in NYC.
