La musique country se rend à Montréal pour un festival plein de talents
First-year country music festival, LASSO is set to hit Montreal this summer with a two-day lineup packed with big stars, emerging stars, and talent.
After announcing Luke Bryan as the fest's first headliner in mid-December, the full lineup is now here. Over the 14th and 15th of August, country music fans will have 18 acts on the bill (with the possibility for more names to be added) to dance and sing-along to. At the top, Bryan, Brad Paisley, Old Dominion, and Morgan Wallen are all great picks for the headliner and direct support spots. We've seen all four acts put on fun shows, and we're sure Montreal is going to get great performances out of them at the newly renovated Espace 67 at Parc Jean-Drapeau.
There's also a great selection of Canadian talent on the bill with Brett Kissel, James Barker Band, MacKenzie Porter, Tebey, The Washboard Union, Matt Lang, Tenille Arts, Phil G. Smith, and Five Roses all hailing from the great white north. Having half the lineup clock in as Canadian is pretty cool to see and the team deserves a tip of the hat for that. There are also six female acts/ acts with women in them on the lineup, coming in at 33%. Here's hoping there are a few more women added if more acts come in on the weekend.

The first-year festival has done a great job putting together a lineup of country music artists to entertain the Montreal crowd. And it's great to see country music making a bigger move into Quebec, with Francophone artists getting their chance to shine right alongside big-name mainstream artists.
