Land of Freedom and Democracy Considering Banning Russia Today TV Station

The State Department has openly considered shutting down Russia Today. At a meeting of the Deep State stink tank the Brookings Institution, US Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland (R-Tel Aviv), questioners asked whether the US should shut down RT since it is the only source of truth in the US media and control of the media narrative is necessary in all wartime situations. All US media is pro-Nazi and therefore controlled in this war, but RT is the only dissident media that steps out of line, and the US will accept nothing less than total control of the US media and will not allow any substantial opposition press.

Nuland demurred, citing the First Amendment, but that the question was asked at all at a meeting of the US Deep State shows just how crazy the US elite has become. It also shows the extreme level of press control in the US, far worse than in Russia where opposition media is readily available. For instance, one can buy opposition papers at any newsstand in Moscow and many of the Russian press organs on the Internet are actually dissident organs controlled by the West.

Every day, Russian dissidents issue loud calls against Putin and his regime. They are widely quoted in the press. On the contrary, the US media never prints any statements by US dissidents who oppose the Deep State. So censorship and press control is much greater in the US than in Russia. So Russia then truly has a freer press than the US.
