Lakme India recently launched Lip Love Care Balms in 4 shades (vanilla, peach, strawberry and cherry) that promises to give both color + care to your lips. Vanilla and Peach gives sheer color (almost clear tint) to the lips (see here), whereas, Strawberry and Cherry gives soft pink and red tint. My experience with the productLakme Lip Love Lip Care Balms come in sleek color coded twist-up packaging with transparent cap. The cap beholds the insignia of the brand name and shuts tightly - would not open up in your handbag. The shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the tube and the outer cover holds other necessary information. The packaging is both cute and attractive! The texture is quite soft, smooth, does not feel waxy and very light-weight on lips. The color easily glides on the lips giving very slight moisturisation for the next 2-3 hours. The color does not survives after drinking a glass of water or small meals. The dual core lip balm has a creamy inner core that hydrates the lips well. This has not repaired my chapped lips completely but presence of SPF 15 would definitely protect your lips from harmful sun-rays. Both the shades give sheer glossy tint - apt for college going girls. Both the lip balms have very mild fragrance - that is not very overpowering.

Strawberry is a sheer pink tinted lip balm that gives medium coverage and would show up well on pigmented lips! Cherry is a sheer red tinted lip balm that gives sheer coverage and would not show up well on pigmented lips! Overall, these are great value for money and if you ant sheer color on your lips and are comfortable in reapplying - go and try out atleast one shade. Girls with extremely dry lips might not find these very promising! I recommend buying Strawberry as it gives maximum color to the lips compared to other shades from the range!Rating : 4/5
