Lakme has come out with these new Lakme 9to5 Primer + Matte Lipstick and I have five of these to discuss and review for all of you. The five shades from the Lakme 9to5 Primer + Matte lipsticks that I have are Rosy Mind, Cherry Chic, Cabernet Category, Rosy Sunday, Saffron Gossip. So before we get into the Lakme 9to5 Primer + Matte Lipstick Review and swatches and all that good stuff , first things first lets see what Lakme has to say about these.
With smooth application and an intense colour payoff, the Lakmé 9to5 Primer + Matte Lip Colors come with a built-in primer that sets a flawless matte base and evens out your lips. Available in 30 highlight pigmented and work-ready shades that last up to 12 hours, touch-ups are now a thing of the past. Step 1: Create a cross on your cupid’s bow. Step 2: Start applying from the centre of your upper lip. Step 3: Work from the center towards the outer edges of your lip, following the contours of your mouth. Step 4: Glide across the entire bottom lip.

So I received five lipsticks from this range and lets begin the review. Lakme 9 to 5 Primer + Matte Lipsticks are priced at INR 480 though you may bag them online for some discount.
The packaging is the same as it was in the earlier 9to5 lipstick. I love this rose gold lipstick bullet. It looks so chic and gives a high end lipstick vibe and these lipsticks look so pretty on the makeup vanity. The rose gold lipstick bullet snaps shuts pretty tight and securely. However I do wish the label at the bottom had some sort of a color indicator so that I dont have to open the lipstick every time to check the color.
The texture of Lakme 9to5 Primer + Matte Lipsticks is creamy which is just about the right amount of creamy without getting slippery, and they dont pull or tug on the lips. They glide on easily on the lips. These arent exactly super matte lipsticks hence they do have a sheen to them when freshly applied which eventually goes away. I personally do not mind the slight sheen on my lips.
Pigmentation wise these are decently pigmented. You can build up the color to full opacity if you have pigmented lips in three swipes. But you do get decent pigmentation in one swipe also. With the exception of Saffron Gossip, which didnt quiet glide on that smoothly. If you do like the orange shade then you can very easily make this work by applying a lip liner underneath.

Staying power on these Lakme 9to5 Primer + Matte Lipsticks is around 7-8 hours on the deeper shades and the lighter shades fade away smoothly in about 5-6 hours.
Final thoughts before we begin the swatches. I am enjoying these lipsticks as these are light weight and very comfortable on the lips and they stay put for hours and these are very easy to reapply and retouch, because of the primer infused into the lipsticks.

- Rosy Sunday : Its a dusty pink kind of a color perfect for all skin types. You can build it up to a more deeper color.
Lakme 9to5 Primer Matte Rosy Sunday
- Rosy Mind : Bright Peachy Pink lipstick which is bordering on neon. This is more suitable for fair to medium skin tone.
Lakme 9to5 Primer Matte Rosy Mind
- Saffron Gossip: Bright neon orange. Not for the faint hearted but I loved it , though it requires a bit of a work. Best if used with a lip liner.

- Cherry Chic: Warm medium tone brown. Will look good on all skintones.
