By Parinaaz Mehta @pdm28

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT

Packaging: La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+) Acne Treatment Cream comes in a tube packaging. It has a pointed nozzle so that only a little product can be used so as to avoid spill over and excess leakage from the tube. The product comes in 2 sizes. I am using the small size of 40Ml as it's more than enough for me. The tube cap fits perfectly and due it's plastic body there are lesser chances of breakage.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+) Acne Treatment Cream Review

Consistency: La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo cream has light gel based consistency. If you have used gel-based primers or any primer for that matter, it's consistency is similar to that of a primer. It blends and spreads easily into the skin, leaving it soft and mattified.

DOES THE La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+) Acne Treatment Cream fulfill all the claims ?

After 24 hours imperfections look visibly less red: The first time I applied this cream, I noticed that most acne and pimples subside almost by 50%. I had a couple of hard acne which also reduced overnight. My skin looked nourished and redness also reduced.

After 8 days localized imperfections appear significantly reduced: I suffer from a serious problem of white heads which then becomes hard acne and in the end it leaves brown and red marks. I am using La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo twice a day and it has made a lot of difference in clearing my skin and lighting brown spots and acne scars. On side of my face white heads have started to subside. Although white heads have not disappeared completely but have become smaller and they do not lead to acne growth.

Unclogging of pores : I use La Roche-Posay Effaclar duo as moisturizer as well as primer. It helps in reducing the size of pores and gives a smooth base for concealer and bb cream to glide smoothly. It also helps in achieving an even skin tone.

FINAL RECOMMENDATION

If you suffer from severe pimples and cystic acne then the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo is the product you need to purchase. It works great as moisturizer as well as primer. It's heavily priced but never compromise when it comes to skincare.
