I normally do not like to use much chemical based products on my hair but for special occasions, I do keep some. Few days back, we celebrated first birthday of our little cupcake and it was a huge party at a restaurant. I have not used too many hairsprays before but the ones I have, made my hair so stiff, dull and scrunched up that I almost started to hate those. I have bought this hairspray after ages and to my surprise it actually made me fall in love with this.
It has a strong perfume like fragrance which I don't really love to be honest. However I ignore it because it does not stay for long.

It adds a really healthy looking shine to my hair the moment I spray it on. It does not feel heavy or sticky and actually does disappear when I run my fingers or comb through my hair. It feels like I have nothing artificial on my hair and the shine looks so natural.
My hair felt soft and smooth post spraying this on. I was doubtful that it might weigh my hair down but it did not. My hair looked healthy and voluminous.

Coming down to it's efficacy to hold the hairstyle in place, which was the main reason for me to buy this, I would say that it did a pretty decent job to keep my hairstyle intact throughout the party. I wore a poof on the crown area of my head and left rest of my hair open after straightening them with my GHD Platinum Hair Straightener. I danced a lot and the party lasted for 5-6 hours and my hair remained in place during all that.

Earlier, when I used any hairspray, I would feel like having a head bath on the very next day because I hated the feeling of that stiffness in my hair. However, surprisingly with Loreal Paris Elnett hairspray I could easily skip 3-4 days without feeling like washing my hair. My hair remain really soft, smooth and shiny for all these days. However my hair did feel drier than they would normally feel when I have not used this hairspray. Hence I use it only when it's a special occasion or I have to go out. I have used it a couple of times but I have not experienced any increase in hair-fall or any other issue with my hair.

Overall, I would say that this is very good product to keep for special occasions. It holds the hair in place, adds shine and volume and keeps the hair soft and smooth. Unlike other hairsprays, it looks very natural and feels light weight on the hair. I won't judge it on the basis of how damaging or non-damaging it is for the hair because it is not an oil or nourishing product so it would be wrong to expect it to do what an oil does. As far as the claims made by company and my expectations are concerned, it did a great job.
