L’estate Sta Finendo is an Italian song by the group Righeira, written in 1985 that has a very catchy tune. After a week of sunshine, it is raining and chilly outside today and I know that summer is ending.
**By the way, if we’re going to REALLY bring back 80s fashion, then we need to step things up a notch….look at these guys sideburns, hair and AMAZING clothes!
This will be my last summer look for a while and I’ll start to get right into Fall. Until next summer arrivederci to short shorts, tank tops, sandals and rattan bags and hello to rain boots, over coats, rolled jeans and chunky knit sweaters!
The Reason I Dressed
These photos were taken mid-summer at the beginning of July. It was the last day of our vacation in Cattolica in the Romagna Riviera, located on Italy’s East Coast along the Adriatic Sea. I’ve done a few posts dedicated to this part of Italy and why it is the perfect family vacation!
On our last day we decided to pack up the car, check out of our hotel and head to one of the areas many amusement parks. If you didn’t realize that Italy had amusement parks IT DOES!! And visiting one while on vacation is a great way to break up the rhythm of churches and statues and maybe burn off a few calories!
A few days ago I shared a few of the reasons why you should consider visting an amusement park in Italy, and broke down all of the different types that you can find here. More than just rides, you’ll find theme parks dedicated to nature, well-being and sports.
What I Wore
My hat is by the designer brand Piazza Sempione (bought on sale for 40 euro reg. priced at around 140!), my bag is vintage bought at an Antiques Market (I wrote all about how to find Antiques Markets in Italy here), my tank is a 5 euro find from H&M, my plastic bracelet was bought on vacation somewhere, leopard sandals were bought online in the winter and my shorts are old!
Wondering what I’m doing? This is a water-gun that you can wind up to shoot water at the people riding this ride. BUT NO ONE WAS SHOOTING AT THEM….invitation accepted. The only problem was that they also had a water-gun on board (I didn’t realize this) and started shooting back at me.
