Kirk Franklin and wife, Tammy Franklin are celebrating their 22nd wedding anniversary this weekend.
One of Gospel music’s favorite couples, Kirk Franklin and Tammy were married on January 20th, 1996.
Tammy, who is always sharing nuggets of wisdom about being a wife, is very intentional about keeping her marriage healthy.
“I love being his wife, but I’m also very intentional about staying his girlfriend! I knew he wouldn’t mind me wearing the flat sandals that I thought about wearing, but I chose to wear the wedges that I know he loves. I pay attention to what makes him smile! I share this not because I’ve always done it perfect, but I grew to learn the balance. Although sometimes he gets my bonnet lol, he should also get his Boo!” she shared.
And Kirk Franklin, never misses an opportunity to honor his wife.
“When I was a youngin’ I used to pray, Lord send me a girl look like Lisa Bonet. Like 20 years later He said “OK”, and dropped off a gem named Tammy Renee! BARS!
Kirk and Tammy have 4 beautiful children, and the couple’s oldest daughter, Carrington Franklin got married in 2016.
