a sweet downtown addition to Monticello, Indiana for over thirty years

Cakes, pies, cookies, pastries…my goodness did this Indiana bakery smell delicious!

Hubs and I decided to stop and sit down with a cup of coffee. Of course we may have bought a tasty treat to go with it! You remember that this is little Indiana, right?

Joking aside, it was really hard to decide! There were oodles of donut choices–and donut holes! I love this and don’t really see them very often. How fun!

Hubs made a beeline for the Pecan. It looked really good.

But as for me, I couldn’t resist the pastry! I chose the cream cheese pocket pastry. I was asked if I wanted it warmed up. Oh my goodness yes!

Now this is delicious! My pastry tasted like it just came out of the oven, all warm and flaky.

Kinser’s Bakery has something I have never seen before–a Texas Donut! This is a mammoth of a breakfast treat.

I realize now that I should have put a regular-sized donut in there next to the Texas-sized donut so you could really get a feel for the difference! But I think you can tell it’s pretty giant just the same.

It was quite a site to see. I wish Kid #1 had traveled to this Indiana town with us. He would have gotten a kick out of that for sure.

Since they’ve been in business for thirty-some years, you know that this White County find knows what they are doing–and you can certainly taste the truth in that.

With a large assortment of goodies for sale, as well as specially made options, and even a lunch menu, I can see why locals flock to Kinser’s Bakery! Who can blame them?
