Kamakhya Shaktipeeth, one of the 51 Shaktipeeths, is very famous and miraculous. The temple of Kamakhya Devi is considered to be the stronghold of Aghoris and Tantriks. Situated about 7 km from Dispur, the capital of Assam, this Shaktipeeth is 10 km away from Nilanchal mountain. Kamakhya Temple is considered to be the Mahapeeth of all the Shaktipeeths. You will not see any idol or picture of Goddess Durga or Maa Ambe in this temple. There is a pool in the Valki temple which is always covered with flowers. Water always flows out of this pool. In this temple full of miracles, the goddess’s vagina is worshipped and due to the presence of the yoni part, the mother also menstruates here. There are many other interesting things related to the temple, let’s know . According to the temple religion Puranas, it is believed that this Shaktipeeth got its name as Kamakhya because at this place Lord Vishnu had done 51 parts of Mother Sati with his chakra to dislodge Lord Shiva’s disillusionment with Mother Sati, where this part fell there. But Mother’s became a Shaktipeeth and at this place the mother’s yoni had fallen, which is a very powerful Peeth today. Although there is an influx of devotees throughout the year, but this temple has a different importance on Durga Puja, Pohan Biya, Durgadeul, Vasanti Puja, Madanadeul, Ambuvasi and Manasa Puja, due to which lakhs of devotees reach here in these days. The water of the nearby Brahmaputra turns red for three days during the Ambubachi Mela every year. This red color of water is due to the menstruation of Goddess Kamakhya. Then after three days, a crowd of devotees throng the temple here for darshan. Let us tell you that very strange prasad is given to the devotees in the temple. Unlike other Shaktipeeths, red colored wet cloth is given as prasad in Kamakhya Devi temple. It is said that when the mother is menstruating for three days, a white cloth is spread inside the temple. After three days, when the doors of the temple are opened, then that cloth is soaked in red color from the raj of the mother. This cloth is called Ambuvachi cloth. This is given to the devotees as prasad. This place is considered to be the most important place for Tantra Sadhana. There is an influx of Sadhus and Aghoris. Black magic is also done here in large quantities. If a person is suffering from black magic then he can come here and get rid of this problem.
