In Been So Long: My Life and Music he looks back on the >, jamming with Jerry Garcia, Janis Joplin and Bob Dylan, and his longtime work in Hot Tuna with Jack Casady. The latter penned the afterword. Former Airplane singer Grace Slick contributed the foreword. The hardback edition comes with a CD of live music.
