Last year HBO’s True Blood was without a doubt all about the witches (besides the ever present vampires). This year, Joe Manganiello (who plays uber-hot werewolf, Alcide Herveaux), has suggested it will be time for the weres to take a stand:
“They’re casting a lot of new werewolves, a lot of hot werewolf chicks.”
Some of which may cause Alcide grief, as he suggested to Access Hollywood correspondent, Tim Vincent. Take Dale Dickey (from Winter’s Bone), for example, who has been cast to play the mom of Marcus, the pack leader that Alcide disposed of in Season 4.
“I think there’s gonna be some werewolves who are gonna give Alcide some trouble this season, as well. I’m anxious to see who they’ll cast.”
Manganiello has also revealed in Los Angeles, as he strolled down the red carpet for the GQ 2011 Men of the Year party, that he knew exactly what was in store for Season 5.
So we need to make sure we all listen very carefully to anything that Joe Manganiello says about True Blood – like we don’t already!
