JJ Hairston was the big winner Saturday night with 6 trophies at the 33rd annual Stellar Gospel Music awards.
JJ Hairston and Youthful Praise won song of the year for “You Deserve It,” and also CD of the year for the album of the same name.
Hairston, who was overwhelmed with emotions during the ceremony, took to his Instagram account to thank everyone.
“For the song “You deserve it” I have to praise God for my brothers @daviddbloom@bishoptez & @demond.reed. The 4 of us have been on an awesome journey the last year and a half. I’ve never been co writer on a song with this many people, but I’m so thankful it was this way. I love you guys!”
