Rapper JaRule, born Jeffrey Atkins joined NY public housing residents Tuesday morning at City Hall, for a rally and press conference to shed light on the residents living conditions.
During his speech, JaRule called out the Mayor and Governor.
“The mayor, the governor, they should all be ashamed of [themselves]. These are Americans, New Yorkers living in third world conditions and it should not be this way,” said the rapper, who grew up in Hollis, Queens.
He continued,
“I’m here to bring these cameras here, so we can bring light to this situation. This has been going on for a long time.”
