In an instant, her look, her allure, her aura come through magnificently when appearing on the silver screen. After a brief and eventful encounter with Ian Fleming’s Secret Agent 007, Sévérine joins Mister Bond… James Bond at the bar of the Pagoda. She orders a glass of champagne, facing James holding his legendary Martini cocktail, they start a covertly, enigmatic and intense conversation…

Unclassifiable, Séverine personifies the glamorous and enigmatic James Bond Girl of Skyfall directed by Sam Mendes.

Who is she? Sévérine is Bérénice Lim Marlohe the 7th French James Bond Girl participating in a James Bond film, a very special new 007 Movie as we are celebrating the Bond’s 50th anniversary this year.

More British than ever, Skyfall sees Dame Judi Dench facing the roughest times of her career as “M“. Javier Bardem embodies one of the most subtle villains as “Raoul Silva“, Naomie Harris a resourceful Moneypenny, Ralph Fiennes introducing a shift of power in the MI6 hierarchy, a surprising Baby “Q” with new geek Ben Whishaw and Daniel Craig the heaviest drinker, paradoxal and complex James Bond character ever embodied.

Benjamin Kanarek had the privilege to photograph Bérénice Marlohe for the cover and fashion editorial for Harper’s BAZAAR en Español, November 2012.

According to Benjamin Kanarek, Frédérique Renaut and stylist Sohei Yoshida, Bérénice was a riot to work with, had a great sense of humor and very laid back temperament. They had the privilege to spend a full day with her and treat the photo session like a real fashion shoot to develop a mysterious atmosphere, in the exceptional location of the Hotel De Crillon, in Paris.

Stay tuned on Benjamin Kanarek Blog for the exclusive video interview with Bérénice Marlohe.
