Here, we give you the latest news and goings-on in the industry.

The Sofitel Vienna Stephansdom is a 5-star, state-of-the-art hotel in the heart of Vienna - close to St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Altstadt (old city), and the Reisenrad (famed huge ferris wheel). Its 182 luxurious rooms and glorious facilities were borne of famed architect Jean Nouvel's vision, a marriage of his contemporary aesthetic and traditional Viennese design. He created a slanting roof, seemingly floating, which allows light to stream in to illuminate the lobby and upper levels, which features Le Loft, the hotel's glass-walled restaurant, which showcases the best views of the city. French and Austrian dishes are the specialty in this restaurant, which is overseen by three-Michelin-starred French chef Antoine Westermann. The rooms are in monochrome as is the facade. Swiss artist Pipilotti Rist created multicoloured video ceilings, and French architect-landscaper Patrick Blanc brought to life a vertical garden, a ‘living’ wall covered with 20,000 species of plants. Having opened December 14, 2010, the hotel is not even a year old, but is surely one to check out.
