Imaginary People  are the kind of band that sticks in your head a long, long time. The power of singer Dylan Von Wagner’s presences makes absolutely sure of that. Their new track “Summerstock” hits the exact right sweet spot of hooky, anthemic and just a little off kilter. It’s the kind of track that harkens back to guitar rock of old with it’s vibe, but has the extra twist that makes it all the more special. “Summerstock” has the build to that perfect sock-hop style danceable chorus – one that feels just as cathartic every time. The band has dubbed their signature sound Dance Americana, and it’s easy to see why when you hear the track. It’s hit all the right beats and we’re going to be dancing to it for a long, long time. The band’s debut full length Dead Letterbox is out 7/17 – and be sure to check the band out when they play Rockwood Music Hall 5/11 and Mercury Lounge on 6/29.
