Ikkai face mask/ face souffle was launched last month by Lotus Herbals. Their price and the packaging was attractive enough for me to try. I have tried a couple of products in the past from Lotus Herbals and some were a hit and some a miss. I was super excited to try one variant first but then saw on Nykaa that there were combo offers available. So I ordered a combo named Lets Go Souffle party pack which had 3 variants- Berry Blush, Orange Boost and Papaya preserve. I will first cover the common points of all the 3 masks then talk about them individually.
So without any further delay let’s get into the review.

How’s the Packaging?
So Ikkai face mask comes in plastic sachets. Each variant has different color packaging. At the back, you can find all the details about the face mask in a very different and quirky way. But since they come in sachets, it’s kinda difficult to store. Each sachet can easily last for 3 uses. Packaging is ok okayish and not so travel-friendly but then we can’t ignore the fact that we are getting it just Rs. 75 (Itna paisa me itna ich milega
How’s the Texture and consistency Ikkai face mask by Lotus Herbals
So they have a very unique texture. It’s not like a clay mask nor runny nor does it contain any granulated particles. To be accurate it has a mousse-like texture and consistency is creamy. This reminded me a lot about the cream of cream biscuits which we as 90s kids used to eat.
How’s Smell and color of Ikkai face mask by Lotus Herbals
Berry Blush:
Berry blush has a very fruity fragrance. This face mask is baby pink in color and looks super attractive. I so loved its fragrance and color
Orange Boost
Ikkai face mask in the variant orange boost is pastel orange in color. It has a strong artificial orange fragrance to it which I personally didn’t like. It smelled exactly like the cream of Britannia orange cream biscuit
Papaya preserve
Ikkai face mask in the variant Papaya preserve is yellow in color and this again has a strong artificial fragrance to it. Not at all soothing to my nose.
Bottom line about the fragrance: I liked only the fragrance of Berry blush. The smell of the other two variants we not at all pleasant.
Effectiveness Ikkai face mask by Lotus Herbals
All of the three variants pretty much felt the same on my face and gave the same result (which is equal to no result).
These ikkai face masks gave me a mild cooling sensation when I had it on my face. It’s mentioned that we have to keep it on the face for 10 minutes, so I kept it on for 10 minutes and since they are mousse-like it didn’t dry. And after 10 minutes I washed it off well by rubbing the face mask in a circular motion. And trust me it didn’t do anything.
My skin felt the way how I feel after cleansing my face with a face wash. I was totally disappointed. And I kept it once for 20 minutes too but still, I couldn’t feel any difference like how we feel after masking.
Not just once, I experienced the exact same thing with all the variants. All the three variants of Ikkai face mask claims to give glowing skin. But I couldn’t notice any such glow or brightness after trying multiple times. To me, this is just like a face cleanser in a mousse form.
I have an oily to combination, and I was also facing some dry patches around my mouth, so it did hydrate the skin but did nothing else other than that (even my dry patches appeared back after 2-3 hours). Which is why I said it’s like a face wash ( though there are even certain face washes that gives instant brightness)
And since I am hearing so many good reviews about these, just to make sure I gave it to my sisters to try and even they felt the same. Except for hydration this ikkai face pack (3 variants which I have tried) did nothing in terms of giving a glow or instant brightness or freshness. At least it didn’t work for us. If you still want to try you can as this is extremely affordable.
This is a total miss for me in terms of everything. And this is the first time I don’t have anything good to talk about a product in a review though I so wanted it to work for me.

Would I recommend?
No. I would not recommend these three variants and I would suggest you guys to skip these. If you still want to try you can! May be the other variants. And if they do show some effects, please let me know. But for me, these three variants were a total bummer and kinda waste of money.
