TAARANGANA - the yearly cultural extravaganza of Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, is usually conducted during the first weekend of February. This time Taarangana is back to leave you spellbound with its enchanting experience on the 2nd and 3rd of February 2018.
This two-day festivity, within the campus grounds is a delight to all the students as well as all the spectators who visit the place. The hustle bustle in the arena makes everything seem like it's in infinity, with no constraints of time; it is a budding ground for new bonds of friendship as all the attendees are exposed to a diversity of folks from the college circuit. It offers a range of activities, from participating in prime and fun events to eating some delightful delicacies from the stalls put up and simply enjoying the weather with good company.
Both the days have an abundance of events to offer, and there are no words to explain the ravishing affair during the star -studded nights. The main attractions in the prime events are choreography-based dance, fashion parade, street play and many more. The most thrilling fun events are-Blind dating, prom and beg, borrow, steal. These marked a major plus and added spark to the youthful vibe of all who were around. There are fascinating and promising additions this time, with slam poetry being one of them.
Every year a theme is decided, around which the festivities revolve. Last year it was ' Le Melange' - in which a successful fusion of different , unique and prominent festivals and celebration were brought into the lime light using décor and a tint of creativity in the all the events. To lift up our happiness a notch higher, our celebrity guests put up a great show. With two YouTube sensations in the house - stand-up comedian Biswa Kalyan Rath ruling the crowd with his humour, followed by a soulful and stellar performance by singer Shirley Setia on Day 1 and DJ Zaeden who brought out the best EDM on Day 2 and elated the spectators beyond bounds during Tarangana's previous edition.
This time TAARANGANA '18 is coming to cast around a superhero aura, by bringing to you the grandeur of your favourite characters from the superhuman universe and to leave you spellbound. So come along, to bask in glory of this exciting dimension in the next edition- " The Sentinel Saga ".
In the midst of fast beating hearts and curious minds, the first celebrity guest for the pronight performance of Taarangana '18 was revealed. Internationally acclaimed and one of the best EDM mixer's - DJ DEIGO MIRANDA will light up the first evening of the fest. Having already gone to some of the biggest festivals in the world such as MTV Shakedown, Creamfields and Rock in Rio, this Portuguese DJ is coming to Taarangana'18 as a part of his India tour this year. Securing the 58 th position among the Top 100 DJs of the world, he's coming here to rock the ambience. He is an artist, who will not leave anything or anyone indifferent to his music and presence. "The best is yet to come" is his mantra and he is coming to deliver his best.
