Slow Down and Savor - a food blog
I love giveaways. So much. I know I’ve said that a bajillion times in the past, but I really do. I’ve done a bunch of giveaways here on Slow Down and Savor, but I never entered one before, until this past December over at my friend Caitlin’s blog, The Pearl & The Pilot.
She received a beautiful “Party Planner” box, full of sausages, cheeses and snacks from Hickory Farms to review, and was able to give away a box just like hers to a lucky winner. Guess what? I WON!!!!!
Somewhere along the way, the folks over at Hickory Farms got confused, and forgot to send me my winnings, but finally, a couple of weeks ago, I received my big box of meat and cheese. Score.
When I opened my box, which turned out to be the Traditions of Home box, rather than the expected “Party Planner,” I saw it contained five summer sausages, seven types of cheese, two types of mustard and two boxes of crackers, my eyes glazed over. It was so beautiful. So. Beautiful. I dug right in.
While all the meats and cheeses were super yummy, I couldn’t keep myself from going back for the beef summer sausage, and the jalapeño & cheddar cheese blend. With a touch of the sweet hot mustard, I was in business.
I decided to try the Honey & Pineapple mustard too, and was happy to have discovered the joys of that magical stuff paired with meat and cheesy goodness. So I mixed them.
So thank you again to Caitlin from The Pearl & The Pilot, and Hickory Farms for a wonderful box of joy.
