You need to have an active real estate license from the Washington Department of Licensing if you want to purchase or offer residential or commercial property.

To qualify for a real estate license, you should:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successfully total of 90 hours of approved realty education within 2 years before requesting the exam. This
  • education needs to include:
  • Complete A 60-hour course in Realty Fundamentals.
    Complete A 30-hour course in Property Practices.
