Happy Birthday Mr. President and CEO of Gumption Entertainment
Today, we celebrate the President and CEO of Gumption Entertainment's Birthday: Troy S Krueger.
Now I can go on so many different paths with this blog, but I am going to share a little story with you on how we met and add some value at the end of this blog about surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals.

I met Troy about 5 years ago through our mutual friend Doug.  Troy and I both enjoyed the edm (electronic dance music) scene and working out.  I also learned that Troy was an aspiring real estate investor and MMA blackbelt.  Realizing that we both wanted to push further and go the extra mile, we soon became close friends.  In my opinion, Troy has always been a few steps ahead of me.  When it comes to health and fitness, real estate investing, and an overall entrepreneurship, Troy just doesn't take the taco, he takes the entire Taco Bell (and eats it too, but not anymore because he's on a keto diet).

Since we are like-minded, Troy enjoyed having me around (or so I assumed).  I am a motivational quote junkie, and I would like to share with you some quotes about surrounding yourself with like-minded people.

"Surround yourself with people who are smarter than you. Pick people who are interested in what you're interested in."
-Russell Simmons, Cofounder of Def Jam.
"If you feel like your ship is sinking, it might be a good time to throw out the stuff thats been weighing it down. Let go of people who bring you down, and surround yourself with those who bring out the best in you."
-Unknown
Now  that last quote hit me home.  I am thankful for the friends I have because they have been there for me in the good times and bad; however, as we get older we tend to go our separate ways by living the life we want to live.  This also goes for my family.  You would be surprised who is weighing you down in your life.  Some of your friends like you just the way you are because that means they don't have to improve their lifestyle.
My friends and I may not relate or even understand each other's lifestyle, but we are supportive of each other.  I look at my friends and family at the same level as I am.  We may not have the same views on how to live our life but we know we are going to live our life the way we want to whether they like it or not.
So although you may lose friends on your journey to success, you may also gain some as well.  Keep your mind focused on what you want and you will attract like-minded individuals who want to motivate you as you motivate them back.   Even if they are much more successful than you, they will want you around because they enjoy having someone around who is just as crazy as they are.
Happy birthday Troy.  I look forward to making a lot of money with you in the near future.
Best,
Tony Kasmiski
