Hai Tien Lo 海天楼 Ala Cart Lunch Buffet at Pan Pacific Hotel

By Dariel

Time really flies and it is coming to the end of October. This month is Frog’s birthday and I had brought him to Hai Tien Lo海天楼 located at Pan Pacific Hotel for traditional Cantonese dining. Since it was a public holiday, the hotel had offered ala cart buffet lunch with variety of food to choose from. Stepping into the restaurant, you will love the grand and majestic décor of the Chinese restaurant.

Without delaying any further, here were some of the dishes that we had ordered from the buffet menu.

Double Boiled Mini “Buddha Jumps over the Wall 佛跳墙”with cordycep

The first dish that was served to us: Pampering ourselves with a bowl of Double Boiled Mini “Buddha Jumps over the Wall 佛跳墙”with cordycep。It is a Chinese delicacy known for its rich taste. Indulging ourselves in this bowl of soup with various high quality ingredients like abalone, mushrooms, scallop, sea cucumber, pork, chicken and etc. This soup is said to be high in protein and calcium. * Do note that Buddha Jumps Over the Wall soup is one serving per person.

I really love the steam catfish. The meat is very fresh and it goes well with the sauce, crushed ginger toppings and chopped scallions. Frog and I had finished the fish all by ourselves.

Lastly the buffet ended with a bowl of refreshing cold dessert. Something sweet, light, chilling and refreshing! Feeling contented after a good meal! Read from some food blogs that the Hai Tien Lo offers weekday dim sum buffet for the price of $48++. Yesh this will be an dining option if I am on leave on a weekday!

:)

A great place to indulge in traditional quality Cantonese cuisine with the use of fresh, quality ingredients. Furthermore, the restaurant caters food serving portion to the number of diners. Hence this will prevent food wastage. Most importantly there will be stomach space to try out more dishes.Great place for family dining too. The total cost for the buffet for two person were approximated $174. I guess it is worthwhile to pamper ourselves and love ones with quality food during special occasions.
