Tina Turner has been announced as a Special Merit Award honoree from the Grammy’s.
Tina Turner will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award alongside, Neil Diamond, and British rock group, Queen.
A special awards presentation ceremony and concert celebrating the Special Merit Awards honorees will be held this summer.
The Lifetime Achievement Award celebrates legendary performers who “have made outstanding contributions of artistic significance to the field of recording.”
The Queen of Rock and Roll, has sold over 50 million albums, and is one of the most renowned live performers of our era.
Additional details regarding the ceremony will be announced at a later date, the Grammy’s said in a statement.
